Bruised, desperate, and homeless, I stood on the back porch of the head deacon’s house. I expected him to welcome us with open arms. After all, he had helped us before. However, when I explained my situation, something was different this time. He didn’t invite us inside. Instead, he shook his head, saying, “I’m sorry. I’ve done all I can, but I’ll pray for you.” I couldn’t believe what I was hearing. With nowhere to go, I walked to my car, defeated, and drove away.

Why did you write I'll Pray for You?
I want to share God's message of hope! He has plans to prosper me, to give me hope and a future (Jeremiah 29:11). Many women, and men, may find themselves in my situation or a similar one and they need God's hope of escaping into a better life.
